Palm’s tiny companion phone launches November 2 : Just over a week ago, the Palm was announced as a Verizon exclusive that would act as a companion phone for larger devices. Today, Big Red has confirmed that the smartphone’s release date and its pricing.

Presumably, the idea of a companion device won’t interest most customers, but those who are keen on purchasing the device will be pleased to know that sales commence next week, on November 2. Consumers will have the choice of purchasing it at the full retail price of $349.99 or with a two-year contract for $299.99. Alternatively, Verizon customers can acquire by paying 24 monthly payments of $14.58.

For those unaware, Palm features an extremely small 3.3-inch 720p display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435. This is coupled with a respectable 32GB of internal storage, which should be enough to install all your favorite apps, and 3GB of RAM. Also, just in case people want to take pictures with this companion device, a 12-megapixel rear sensor is included alongside an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Lastly, the smartphone comes running Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box complete with a heavily customized UI which has been adapted to the small display.
While this device will remain entirely exclusive to Verizon in the US, consumers based in the UK will be able to get their hands on the device eventually through Vodafone, who will be stocking the smartphone exclusively for six months. However, the release date and pricing remains unclear at the moment.
