Motorola could soon release its first phone with in-device wireless charging : Phones with wireless charging capabilities have been a thing for a while now, yet not every company has taken the same approach for going cordless. Motorola, for example, does not have a smartphone in its lineup that natively supports wireless charging. Instead, the manufacturer sells a special shell case that enables the feature for its G series modular handsets. However, Motorola’s latest product registration might be a sign of a change in policy.
Of course, it’s possible that the gadget could just be an accessory that could work in conjunction with the aforementioned wireless charging case, but there are a couple of things that make this a rather unlikely notion.
The G7 will probably become official sometime in Q1 2019, so there’s still a while to wait before we figure out Motorola’s intentions. However, it’s very likely that we’ll see more leaks in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more info!
